We have received a report of two stray dogs located at the Center Star Market. These dogs are homeless and starving. Locals have been able to feed the dogs intermittently, as well as provide them with water, but have not been able to coax them to safety.
If you have any interest in adopting or helping these two dogs, the market is located on Hwy 72. Traveling east from Florence towards Rogersville, the Center Star Market is on the right, just past First Baptist Church of Center Star.

the dogs are not starving, they are fed by multiple neighborhood residents, daily. one is homeless, and the other is just not taken care of by the owners, and has been living for the past year at a few different houses. but they are by no means starving. they like to wander. but are great dogs if someone would take them. friendly to children, but don't like to stay in one place, would need a fence.
